The 7th Annual Hike the Highlands Festival will featured 10 days of guides hikes, evening presentations, workshops , opening and closing ceremonies. The festival includes the hikers distance award program for hikers hiking 25, 50 or 100 kms during the ten days.

Climb to new heights - The Highlands of Cape Breton are situated on the world-renowned Cabot Trail and offer some of the most spectacular coastal scenery and hiking trails in the world.  14 of the 24 guided hikes featured in this year's festival are within the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. This year Parks Canada will be celebrating its 125 anniversary. Hikers in this festival will get a special souvenir.
